  1. Over $30,000 has been spent so far on these pencils. I have profound respect for the point being made here but this is a lot of money for pencils that will probably be broken or shredded and delivered to strike captains if they even make it past the mail room. I am a huge strike supporter but can’t help thinking that there are probably writers who could use those funds to help pay their bills during this striike period (in a holiday season no less!). I’d rather see a fund raiser for WGA than something like this. Just my two cents.
