I’m reviving some screenplays that I started a few years ago, and I’m working on new material. Some chronic illness interfered with my writing. I love reading the material of others. I want to network. I want to see what has changed in the last few years.

Not sure I like this format. We type in a security code every time we talk? I guess there is no discussion here, just reading and comments?

First appears the IDEA. Then the idea becomes the word. The WORD brings a vivid dialogue. You create the SCRIPT.

Nowadays we DO often forget, it’s the script that carries the movie. INTERSCENARIO Festival gives a chance for all the creative SCREENWRITERS. This INTERNATIONAL event is mainly about the contest for the best feature film script. In the same time it offers a wide range of opportunities: workshops, meetings with guests (previously Peter Zelenka, Jan Jakub Kolski, Cezary Harasimowicz), film shows, gigs and more.

Interscenario 2010 is taking place in Wroclaw, POLAND, 21st- 24th October. It’s the IVth edition and there have been 170 scripts notified, a few from abroad as well.

For further information check the website : http://www.interscenario.pl/ GRAB THE CHANCE NEXT YEAR!

That’s a cool idea, i’m going to definitely check it out. Also, i’m curious to know of everyone’s thoughts on their top 5 screenplay books. Two books really helped me: “Screenwriting Updated” By Linda Aronson and “Save the Cat” By Blake Snyder. This is when things started to click. That being said i’m not a salesman, but just passionate about things that really teach me.

    best,
    Chi

Hello all I am seeking a volunteer screenwriter to write two movie treatments based on my ideas. I am an idealist and can come up with big screen movie ideas off the top of my head. I plan to give full recognition of writing to all material. I feel this is a great opportunity for new graduates to get their work out. I myself am new to this as well and would like to develop a honest, loyal, and long term friendship and business. This would be the first process, the next will come as we go. My ideas are very good ones, not by my own admission, but of friends, family, and co-workers. Please email me if you are seriously interested only please at lavanda3@msn.com.

Looking for a writer for a docu/feature that can make a difference to the world. Do you have what it takes to help bring about a change in society? Dada Vaswani is one such person who brought about a telling change in society, and we’re looking for someone to script a screenplay for a docu-feature on the life and works of this Spiritual Leader.

The proposed docu feature is about a charismatic spiritual leader from India J.P.Vaswani, known affectionately as Dada.

His followers and admirers span the globe, especially amongst the entrepreneurial, mercantile ‘Sindhi’ diaspora who were displaced from their original homeland in Sindh, during the violent partition of the Indian sub-continent to create the Islamic state of Pakistan in 1947. Sindh has a legacy of saints known as Sufis who ingeniously combined folk motifs with mystical interpretations to propogate a message of Universal Love. Dada J.P.Vaswani inherits this great legacy through his Guru and mentor Sadhu T.L.Vaswani, whose inspired poetry is collected in The Nuri Granth, one of the largest books in the literature of the world, enshrining the songs of a single poet-saint.

Today at 97 Dada heads the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, headquartered in Pune, India, that is engaged in various philanthropic activities in fields such as education, healthcare, social service, animal rights, feeding of the poor and spiritual upliftment.

Dada’s humanitarian spirit transcends caste, creed, color and religion. Abstract speculation and forbidding prohibitions are not for him – he is practical and down-to-earth and communicates effortlessly with his audiences. His universalist approach to religion is especially relevant at a time of global strife.

Dada has spoken at numerous venues including the British House of Commons, the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago and the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders at the United Nations, New York. He is the recipient of the U Thant Peace Award.

Dada is one of those remarkable men whose life is their message; a teacher who teaches by example. Dada is loved and revered for his utter humility, compassion, sense of service and ready smile that has earned him the epithet of ‘smile millionaire’.

The film needs to showcase the life and times of Dada, his message and the legacy of the Mission in a manner that appeals to an international audience. Anecdotal snippets of his life and teachings are available in Mission publications.

The proposed will be a full length docu-feature, for international commercial release. The benchmark would be films like:

    Awake, The Life of Yogananda
    Dalai-Lama Renaissance

Contact me on the following- abhishekn_nine@yahoo.in
    Cheers,
    Abhishek
